Alcosense Breathalyser Ultra offers up to twice the accuracy compared to breathalyzers in the same price category, which corresponds to police devices.
• Accuracy of police equipment • Advanced sampling system with temperature compensation • Removes incorrect readings • Shows how many hours you need to survive • Blow Coach facilitates blowing directly when measuring the alcohol level
AlcoSense Ultra is the first breathalyzer in the world to use the same professional 200mm fuel cell alcohol sensor found in many British, American and European police breathalyzers.
AlcoSense Ultra is an advanced sampling system that ensures it only measures deep lung air (the most accurate part of the breath). It uses advanced sensors to measure exhalation pressure, flow rate and exhalation volume. The reading is taken after 1 liter of air has been exhaled, which ensures that the sample is always as accurate as possible. To improve accuracy, readings are fine-tuned according to temperature. These sensors also enable Ultra to offer the intelligent BlowCoach feature.
Most of the problems in elemental analysis are caused by blowing too hard, too softly or for too little time - which may also cause wrong results in some products. BlowCoach ™ is AlcoSense's patented technology that makes it easy to get the perfect measurement every time! Ultra shows messages about blowing in real time on the screen. All you have to do is hold the upper pressure gauge in the middle of the gauge and keep blowing until the lower pressure gauge is full.
The accuracy tolerance of each breathalyzer is +/- X,XX of the reading - the lower the number, the more accurate the alcohol test measurement. AlcoSense Ultra has intelligent built-in software that removes false readings - eg instead of +/- 0.1‰ BAC tolerance, AlcoSense Ultra's tolerance is + 0.07‰ BAC, -0.00‰ BAC. This means that the Ultra will always read the result slightly higher than lower just to be sure - the result is more than twice as accurate as the award-winning AlcoSense Elite.
With one click, AlcoSense Ultra works with all country restrictions! Simply select the country/region in which you plan to drive from the menu and use AlcoSense Ultra's patented technology that complies with local laws. The breathalyzer uses the limit value and unit of measurement valid in the country, and with the help of blood conversion, it enables correct alcohol readings for either blood or respiratory alcohol. If the limit value is changed, the device can be updated by downloading the software from our support page.
The AlcoSense Ultra features a full-color 1.8-inch (48 mm) TFT display that displays clear and detailed alcohol levels. You can choose a breath or blood (mg/L or µg/100ml) or blood (% BAC or ‰ BAC) reading. If you're close to or over your chosen limit, Ultra will warn you to drive.
The AlcoSense Ultra even calculates how long it can take before you can drive and displays it at the same time as the measurement result, see the picture above and below. Want a reminder when to test again later? No worries, just press the alert icon and Ultra will notify you when it's time to take another test.
All breathalyzers require recalibration after a certain period of use. AlcoSense Ultra has an industry-leading 12-month calibration period from first use. For reliability and ease of use, AlcoSense Ultra reminds you to recalibrate after 11 months of use.
If the breathalyzer is used in conditions that differ from the meter's normal operating temperature, you may get incorrect readings. Temperature can affect the quality of the reaction inside the sensor. For your safety and protection, AlcoSense Ultra will warn you if the device is used in temperatures that deviate from 5°C ~ 40°C. This means that unlike competing brands, Ultra will never let you take a test if there is a risk.
Unlike competing brands, AlcoSense Ultra also protects you from errors caused by the "Sensor Saturation" function. Sensor saturation can affect all breathalyzers, including police breathalyzers, and occurs when a very high concentration of alcohol is blown directly into the sensor. This usually happens when the breath test is done shortly after consuming alcohol, while the alcohol is still in the mouth. The sensor is overloaded, so-called "saturation" occurs. Readings taken after this may be unreliable until the sensor is reset. For your safety, the AlcoSense Ultra enters a protection mode that allows the sensor to reset before performing new tests to avoid possible false readings.
Alcosense Breathalyzer Ultra measures 107 x 55 x 29 mm, weighs 152g including batteries and has a 48 mm TFT color display. 3 x AAA batteries, 100 professional mouthpieces Includes parts, Micro USB cable and user manual.
