Aptus Attapectin 30 tabl complementary feed preparation is an excellent choice for temporary indigestion in dogs and cats. This complementary feed product contains attapulgite and pectin, which protect the walls of the animal's digestive tract and bind to itself bacterial toxins and products of intestinal fermentation. In addition, they take these harmful substances out of the digestive tract.
The active ingredients of Attapectin are especially useful when the pet suffers from a loose stomach or vomiting. However, prolonged use can also bind beneficial substances such as vitamins and medicines, so we recommend that Attapectin be given only three hours after treatment.
The nutrient composition of this complementary feed preparation is as follows: protein 0,3 %, crude fibre 21 %, fat content 1,7 %, inorganic matter 47 %, calcium (Ca) 0 mg/g, sodium (Na) 0 mg/g and phosphorus (P) 0 mg/g. Attapulgite used as a supplement makes up 49% of the composition.
Attapectin is given to small dogs (less than 10 kg) one tablet two to three times daily for two to three days. Medium-sized dogs (10-20 kg) are given one or two tablets, as well as large dogs (over 20 kg), who are usually given two or three tablets daily. Cats receive one tablet daily in the same way as small dogs. If necessary, the tablet can be crushed and soaked in water. One tablet weighs about 0.7 grams.
