The renewal of the Benelli m2 series started in 2023 when Benelli introduced the m2-23 model, with the addition of a two-piece spring-loaded cartridge holder plate, which makes loading and unloading cartridges into and from the magazine (from below) much easier and more user-friendly than, for example, the older M2 series models. The Easy Locking lock, familiar from the Raffaello-13 series, was also added to the m2-23 model. The Easy Locking lock rotates all the way to the end, even if you close the lock silently with your hand. The gun is therefore always ready to fire.
The bolt body was redesigned for optimal balance. In addition, the rear, front, trigger guard and charging port were completely redesigned and the front rail was replaced with a longer, more powerful rail. Particular attention was paid to the roughness of the grips to ensure a comfortable feel and a firm grip. New larger controls were introduced to ensure smooth operation in all situations.
Inertia and the excellent technological solutions introduced into the model made the M2-23 a desirable and reliable shotgun.
The M2-PRO, introduced in 2025, incorporates all of the features described above, and in addition to these, the much desired recoil-reducing Progressive Comfort butt with a really soft CompTech cheekpiece has been brought to this new model. The M2-PRO is suitable for all shotgun hunting.

Benelli M2-PRO Camo max-7 features:
- Hatch body made of ergal.
- Camo max-7 colored technopolymer buttstock with Air Touch grips, Progressive Comfort recoil padding and CombTech cheekpiece.
- The barrels are made of nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with a test pressure of 1370 bar and are hard chrome plated on the inside.
- The outer surface of the barrel has a camo max-7 finish.
- Raised wood rail, with red forend.
- The internal replacement bungs are 7 cm long, cold-finished Crio bungs. The standard delivery includes 5 pieces of reducers (*/**/***/****/ CYL). The weapon is steel-shot capable, the three widest of the suppressors can be used to shoot steel.
