The gun has a two-piece spring-loaded cartridge holder plate, which makes feeding cartridges into the magazine lighter and removing them from the magazine (from below) much easier and more user-friendly than in older Montefeltro series models, for example. The Easy Locking lock is familiar from the Raffaello-13 series and will rotate all the way through, even when closed silently with the hand. This means that the gun is always ready to fire.
The slide length is 365mm (standard) and the rear plate is 2.5cm thick, secured with a felt grip. As an accessory, the manufacturer offers a 1cm shorter or 1cm longer rear plate, so the length of pull can be adjusted to 355mm or 375mm. The gun comes standard with a comprehensive set of rear sight adjustment pieces (Z-A-B-C-D), which allow the rear sight drop to be adjusted in quite a variety of ways, i.e. 45-50-55-60-65mm from the sight line, and the bend can be changed to suit either right or left hand shooters. The gun has a standard blued magnum 26″ interchoke barrel, with a fixed metal rail with red fiber front sight. The barrel is made of nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy, test pressure is 1370 bar and they are hard chrome plated on the inside. The standard delivery includes 5 replacement reducers and the three widest reducers are suitable for steel bicones. All reducers are cold-treated Crio reducers. The new Montefeltro is delivered in a 100% plastic-free cardboard box.
