With the Beurer PO 30 pulse oximeter, you can easily measure the amount of oxygen in the blood (SpO2) and heart rate. Oxygen saturation tells how many percent of the hemoglobin in the arterial blood has bound oxygen to itself. It is an important parameter in the assessment of respiratory functions. Oxygen saturation decreases primarily as a result of various diseases (respiratory diseases, asthma, heart failure, etc.). People with low oxygen saturation often experience the following symptoms: shortness of breath, increased heart rate, decreased performance, nervousness and sweating. Chronically low oxygen saturation should be monitored with a pulse oximeter according to the doctor's instructions. The pulse oximeter is therefore especially suitable for people belonging to risk groups, such as those with heart disease or asthmatics, but also for athletes and healthy people who exercise at high altitudes (e.g. mountain climbers, skiers or sport pilots).
