The rapeseed meal added to the bulking agent contains nitrogen and energy for more efficient functioning of the composter. The pine bark and chopped hemp stalk in the bulking agent keep the compost mass airy, which is crucial for the functioning of the composter. The chopped hemp stalk, wood fibre, moss and biochar absorb moisture and balance the moisture content in the compost mass.
