Wool serves plants and soil organisms, just as it serves animals and us. It protects, insulates, breathes, retains moisture, and feeds the soil, promoting soil microbial activity and plant growth. Plus, it's rather cute.

BioProffa Wool Pellets are made from 100% compressed, unrefined sheep's wool -- completely organic and biodegradable. The heavy, sheep-scented pellets are rich in nutrients and trace elements (especially nitrogen and sulphur), which are made available to plants as the pellets slowly decompose.

Wool Pellets store up to 3 times their weight in water, nourish the soil, and promote plant growth. Wool pellets are particularly suitable for plants that require a lot of moisture and nutrients, such as cucumbers, tomatoes, courgettes, pumpkins and other vegetable and horticultural crops.

Instructions
Soil Improvement & Fertilization: Mix the pellets into the soil/substrate. The pellets swell as they moisten, providing aeration and moisture retention to the substrate. Sufficiency: 1 kg per 5 square metres.

Top Dress & Mulch: Pellets can also be spread on top of soil (for example, as a mulch for a garden bed). When the pellets are watered, they swell and compact into a uniform covering on top of the substrate, protecting the soil from drying out.
