The blades are extremely sharp, so we recommend that you always use the included safety holder when using the mandolin.
In the dishwasher, the blades may become dull faster, so we recommend hand washing. Immediately after use, rinse the mandolin under running water. If necessary, use dish soap and a dish brush, but be careful not to dull the blade with the dish brush.
