The Count and the King is an add-on that includes the Carcassonne minor add-ons The Count, The King, The Shrines and The River II. All of these can be played together or separately and freely combined with other add-ons. The count brings new scoring opportunities, the king and the robber baron reward for building the biggest city and road, the sanctuaries compete for points with the monasteries, and you can combine the new river with the base game river if you want.

The first edition of the Finnish version was sold out in early 2013, the 2nd edition was available from May 2013. So now it's the turn of the 3rd institution, which has changed a little with the new edition. On top of that, the easiest way to distinguish the different editions is the Count's new clothes, the cover art and the appearance of the tiles have now been updated to match the base game's 2015 facility.
