In the 1930s, we realized what tourists wanted in addition to the glamor of our "big cities": Silence, open spaces, lakes, wild nature... Finland as a natural paradise was perhaps most actively depicted by the Swedish graphic artist and artist Ingrid Högström-Bade (1908–1989). The poster was ordered by Suomen-Matkat / Finlandsresor together with the Norwegian Railways. Suomen-Matkoje's mission was to promote Finland as a travel destination for foreigners. The poster was originally printed at Tilgmann's press. There is also a boy's version of the poster in the same color and style, but we haven't managed to find the original anywhere, only small brochure images.
