The artist describes his work: When I was a child, we visited Saimaa maybe a few times, but otherwise I don't have much contact with the area. When I was gathering ideas for my poster, I knew I wanted to design something simple but beautiful. For me, the most iconic image of Saimaa is a bird's-eye view of the lake and the islands beautifully scattered there. Finally, the idea of a scene where a bird flies towards the sun and an endless lake landscape can be seen below it started to get stronger in my head.
So this is a new work created for Come to Finland. We firmly believe that poster art must be made attractive and made available to new generations. Do you notice how Finland once again - through the means of poster art - attracts tourists with the help of glamor and shouts of joy echoing from paradise?
