Caldia has remained in Daiwa's star guard since the beginning. The new Caldia continues on top, now in LT form! Daiwa Caldia LT is a familiar reel in a lighter and more durable package.
The sturdy Zaion chassis serves as Caldia's foundation. At its heart is the durable Digigear made of A7075 aircraft aluminum, which doesn't miss a beat and offers you breathtakingly accurate and effortless performance. The LT concept combined with the efficient ATD brake system, the impenetrable Magseal technology, and the Air Rotor offer the user a sophisticated reel that can be used to fish in any weather.
The lightest Caldia LT in the 1000 size class weighs only 180g and is therefore the perfect choice for Ultralight fishing. On the other hand, if you need more power for taming pike or, say, salmon, the largest - 4000 size class Caldia LT is your choice. It also weighs only 230g and its braking power is a respectable 12kg!
You will surely find yours in the comprehensive Caldia LT offering - Everyone is a guaranteed Daiwa.
Features:
Daiwa LT Concept – Daiwa Light&Tough is a new leap in Daiwa's design evolution. The reels of the LT concept are designed for modern anglers who fish with fiber lines and want more power from the reel, as well as better braking power. Compared to its predecessors, the reels of the LT concept are physically smaller and lighter, but the line volume, brake power and size of the main reel have been kept unchanged or even improved.
Magsealed Body – Mag Seal prevents dirt, water and salt from entering the reel, thus significantly improving the reel's lifespan and usability.
Zaion Body – The lightest, most compact and strongest body that Daiwa has produced. Zaion is 20% stronger than traditional nylon/ABS frames and 50% lighter than aluminum.
Tough Digigear – The new generation Digigear mechanism is 50% stronger than its predecessor.
Aluminum Air Handle – The new lighter handle is thinner, but you still get a good grip.
Airspool ABS - New spool - longer casts. Airspool ABS reels are designed to improve the angler's casting distances, which is important especially when fishing from the shore.
ATD – Daiwa ATD brake technology is the best that brakes can offer when fighting big fish. ATD technology also protects the thin fiber line in the first strike of the fish, reducing the strain on the line.
Air Rotor – The innovative rotor structure reduces the total weight of the reel, as well as the torsional force on the reel. The Air Rotor rotor is more balanced, reducing friction so that the reel works smoothly.
