DunWore's defrost cable with self-regulating thermostat protects water pipes and meters, planter boxes, eaves, gutters, downspouts, storm drains and storm sewers from freezing and cracking. The thawing cable is also suitable for use inside drinking water pipes thanks to its food-grade approval.
The heating cable has a self-regulating control that increases the heating power before the freezing point and gradually reduces the heating power after reaching a safe temperature. No separate thermostat is required. The heating cable will not overheat as it will self-regulate according to the prevailing ambient temperature. The product is ready to use immediately, the cable is fixed in place and connected to the electrical socket.
