The renovation of the Finlandia Hall is complete and the doors were opened to the public on 4 January 2025 with a Strauss concert. The stamps were designed by Ilkka Kärkkäinen and feature photographs of the interior and exterior of Finlandia Hall that the general public will recognise. "It was a great honour to design the stamps, because Finlandia Hall is an architectural object of national and international significance and one of Helsinki's most famous landmarks. I greatly appreciate the care and precision with which the building has been designed and made, down to the smallest detail," says Kärkkäinen.Finlandia House Marketing and Communications Director Minna Sauramaa is also pleased with the stamps. "The stamps are simply great. They look like Finlandia House, they are clear and last for a long time, just like the building itself. "It is great that we were able to open the iconic Finlandia Hall in its new splendour. Every building needs basic maintenance and now it has been done. The renovation has resulted in new services, functions and spaces. Finlandia House is now a vibrant event house in the heart of the city, open to all. The programme calendar is already filling up at a good pace," says Sauramaa.
