The familiar blue and white color scheme of Finnair's 100-year mark Founded in 1923, Finnair is one of the world's oldest still operating airlines. Today it is a network airline that offers comprehensive flight connections to Europe, North America and Asia. Throughout its history, Finnair has served as Finns' gateway to the world. "Posti has played its own important role in Finnair's history, because our first flight carried mail from Helsinki's Katajanokka to Tallinn, and our flights still carry a lot of mail," Finnair's Director of Communications Päivyt Tallqvist says. The Finnair stamp has a beautiful movement and the familiar blue and white color scheme. "The harmonious sign represents timelessness and simplicity, which Finnair's brand is also associated with. The stamp is a great addition to our anniversary year, which has been visible throughout the year on our planes, campaigns and social media channels, says Tallqvist. The 100-year stamp designed by Ilkka Kärkkäinen has a nostalgic touch. "Finnair is one of the icons of Finnishness, and the design of the celebration logo is a great honor for the graphic designer. I've always admired Finnair's graphic style. Erik Bruun's posters in particular have made a big impression. Finnair's logo, designed by Kyösti Varis, is also etched in the minds of every Finn."
The Finnair 100 years sheet contains 10 (ten) domestic symbols.
