When you use the inReach Messenger satellite communication device, home is closer than you think. The device can send and receive messages and activate the SOS function (an active satellite service contract is required) when there is no mobile phone network available. You can use the device to keep in touch with loved ones, read their messages and reply to them with QuickText messages, and share your GPS location if necessary. Longer messages and group messages can be sent conveniently using the Garmin Messenger application. The inReach Messenger device makes it easy to move seamlessly between wireless Wi-Fi®, cellular and satellite networks. The connection features are good and communication is cost-effective. Thanks to the device's display, you know that your message has definitely been sent. In an emergency, you will also see a response telling you that help is on the way. The communication device's internal rechargeable lithium battery lasts up to 28 days. It also provides enough power to restart a drained smartphone battery.
