The height of the inReach Mini device is just under 9.9 cm and the width is 5.2 cm, and it weighs only 100 g, so it fits conveniently in, for example, a pocket or a backpack. It establishes a communication link via the Iridium satellite network and guarantees seamless, full Iridium coverage worldwide. You don't have to worry about cell phone signal range or dropped connections.
GEOS is the world's leading provider of emergency response solutions and monitoring. It has saved lives by participating in rescue operations in more than 140 countries. It answers SOS calls, tracks your device and reports emergency situations to the right contacts and the appropriate emergency response services in the area 24/7. Once you've sent a distress signal, you'll receive confirmation that help is on the way, and you'll also receive continuous updates on the status of the emergency response team.
Through wireless device-to-device connections, you can remotely control your inReach Mini and send and receive messages with compatible Garmin handhelds, wearables, or other mobile devices. Thanks to GPS-based location tracking, you can share your location with those at home or others in the field. You can also publish your adventures on community services. For basic navigation, the device includes a compass that shows the direction and distance along the route or to the waypoint.
In addition, the free Earthmate app syncs the inReach handheld via Bluetooth® to a compatible Apple® or Android™ device for access to an unlimited number of maps and aerial photos. With the Earthmate application, you can also conveniently use all the features of the inReach device on a paired mobile device. Communication is facilitated by the possibility to use the phone's contact list in the Earthmate application. You can connect worldwide with fewer keystrokes than usual.
Durable, shockproof (MIL-STD-810F) and waterproof (IPX7 compliant), the inReach Mini will keep you going.
