Finland's oldest sports drink, which was originally developed in the 80s under the leadership of Hartwall in collaboration with the world's leading Finnish sports doctors.
Purpose of use: •Increases performance and durability •Maintains fluid, mineral and energy balance • Speeds up recovery
Fatigue during exercise is caused by: • Dehydrated, the amount of water in the body decreases •Decreasing blood sugar (glucose) and muscle glycogen stores • The removal of electrolytes (magnesium, potassium and sodium) along with sweat, resulting in e.g. muscle cramps •Accumulation of lactic acid in muscles and blood circulation •Increased body temperature. Fatigue can be prevented during performance: •Drinking enough both before and during performance. Even 5% dehydration reduces performance by less than half. For example, during a hockey match, a player sweats approx. 2 l, which significantly reduces performance. Hart-Sport is absorbed quickly, as the amount of glucose is optimized. • With sufficient energy intake during performance.Hart-Sport maintains blood sugar, or glucose, which is immediately available for energy, which when used prevents the premature depletion of glycogen stores. • By increasing the secretion of insulin. Insulin, on the other hand, prevents the release of fatty acids and their use as energy. When glucose and not fat is used as an energy source, more energy is produced with the same amount of oxygen (oxygen uptake limits energy release). • By maintaining salt balance. Hart-Sport's salt concentrations are the same as in sweat, so the lost electrolytes are replaced with similar amounts, i.e. Hart-Sport is isotonic. Disturbance of salt balance reduces performance, causes cramps and slows down recovery.
