As the name suggests, the Helix DSP ULTRA S is something quite different from just another processor with a few more channels. The ULTRA S is a device that takes DSP equipment to a whole new level and demonstrates Audiotec Fischer's expertise as a pioneer in DSP technology.

The redesigned audio signal path reduces distortion to a minimum: at its core are the renowned AKM Velvet Sound™ 32 Bit AD and DA signal converters and new, high quality op-amps from the legendary TI/BurrBrown ″OPA series″ with SoundPlus™ technology for the best possible sound quality.

The only way to improve computing power is to increase computing power. ULTRA S has two of the most powerful 64-bit audio signal processors available from Analog Devices. An incredible 2.4 billion MAC operations per second enable processing of twelve individual channels and a sampling rate of 96 kHz.

The new 32-bit ACO platform enables fast performance on everything but it also does so much more. Key features include signal analysis of OEM audio sources and automatic straightening of the response. This compensates for the input signal distortion often introduced in OEM equipment to compensate for poor quality original speakers.

ULTRA S installs seamlessly behind any OEM sound source ADEP.3 circuitry and incredibly wide input sensitivity. The 4-32 volt input sensitivity of the speaker-level input allows installation behind OEM amplifiers in cars where removal from the rear of the player is impossible
