The characteristics and brand-specific differences of small, portable 4-stroke outboards are unfortunately rarely weighed. However, with the Honda models BF4, BF5 and BF6, there is an exceptional amount of reason for comparison - that's how civilized and easy-to-use machines in their class are now.

Silence. Despite the compact and easily portable structure of the motor, the low sound level during operation is a new experience for the user with these motors. A feature that really matters to the user, with the engine running next to the ear.

Vibration-free operation. This must be experienced! Unfortunately, you can only get to the truth by comparing, but we are proud to say that despite the compact 1-cylinder structure, with this engine, the perception of the vibration level is completely new. Honda's new, advanced engine block rubber suspension takes care of this.

Economy. The new BF4, BF5 and BF6 are equipped with a convenient 1.5-liter fixed fuel tank, which, considering the fuel economy of these machines, needs to be refueled less often than you might imagine. However, if the need arises for a larger, external fuel tank, its connection has been made easy with the fuel hose connection that is standard equipment (BF5 and BF6).

Performance. With a displacement of 127 cm³, the 4-stroke engine is torquey and rev-sensitive. In addition, a wide selection of propellers guarantees customization even for special needs and with heavy boats in mind. Both the traditional short stroke (15" / 38 cm) and the long stroke BF6 engine (20" / 51 cm) are available in stroke lengths.

You shouldn't play with engine reliability on the water. For this reason, many have already chosen Honda in the past. The new engines also have an oil pressure indicator and an oil monitor just in case, which automatically limits the revolutions to 2,300 rpm when the oil pressure drops. As usual, the engine is covered by Honda's 5-year warranty.
