NEW WOODEN SURFACES: Prime new surfaces with Ilves Ulkopohja. The primer prevents peeling and extends the maintenance interval of the painting. Use Ilves Oksalakka to prevent resin spills and Ilves Anti-rust paint to prevent nails from rusting. PREVIOUSLY PAINTED WOODEN SURFACES: Wash the surfaces with mold detergent, rinse and let dry. Previously painted paint surfaces in good condition can be painted directly with Ilves Talomaal. Remove bad flaking paint and prime the surface with Ilves Ulkopohja. The primer prevents peeling and extends the maintenance interval of the painting. CONCRETE AND PLASTER SURFACES: Prime the unpainted surface with Ilves Kivipohjuste, which strengthens the surface, improves the adhesion of the paint, and prevents the transfer of lime from the concrete to the paint surface. METHOD OF WORK: Brushing or spraying. Leveling with a brush. SUFFICIENCY: Sawn wood 5-6 m²/l, previously painted 7-8 m²/l. DRYING TIME: 1–2 h at +23 °C and 50% humidity. At lower temperatures and in humid weather, the drying time is longer. GLOSS DEGREE: Semi-matt. THINNER AND WASHING TOOLS: Water. Thinning is only recommended for spray painting. WORKING CONDITIONS: The treated surface must be dry and dust-free. Air temperature at least +5 °C and relative air humidity below 80%. TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE: Transport upright and supported. Protect from freezing. The optimal storage temperature is +5 to +25 °C. Keep out of reach of children. DISPOSAL OF THE PACKAGING: Dispose of the empty can in mixed waste or in accordance with local sorting instructions. Liquid surplus paint is delivered in a jar for hazardous waste collection.
