The Insta360 Ace Pro action camera hardware update adds Active HDR and a network camera mode to the camera.

The Insta360 Ace Pro action camera, capable of fierce 8K video resolution and 48 megapixel photos, is a revolutionary step forward in its field. Powered by artificial intelligence, cutting-edge Leica optics and versatile imaging capabilities, the camera has been updated with new features and exciting enhancements.

In addition, a 2.4-inch reversible touchscreen and PD fast battery charging bring versatile flexibility to creative work. Combine this with AI-assisted image processing, a 1/1.3-inch image sensor and versatile shooting settings, and the result is a versatile action camera that captures high-quality photos and high-end videos.

The waterproof Insta360 Ace Pro action camera can withstand depths of up to 10 metres as it is. In addition, an optional diving housing allows the camera to be taken to a depth of up to 60 metres. The camera operates smoothly in temperatures as low as -20 degrees below zero or as high as +40 degrees, making it perfect for both winter and summer conditions.

The Active HDR feature of the camera has been upgraded to give greater control. The colour mode can be turned off if desired, giving the photographer more control over the editing of photos and videos. Active HDR is particularly useful in high-contrast lighting, as the technology makes the most of the play of light and shadow. The feature increases the sharpness of colour tones and brings footage to life even more.

With the update, more shooting modes now support Clarity Zoom. By double-tapping the screen, the camera enlarges the image to twice its original size without compromising image quality. A second double-tap exits the camera from focus mode to normal mode.

The hardware update also brings new compatibility to the camera, including functionality with Garmin and Apple Watch watches. In addition, the Insta360 GPS Preview Remote and Insta360 GPS Action Remote remotes are compatible with the camera. The camera can now be connected via Bluetooth to Sena, Cardo and VIMOTO motorcycle helmets. The connection ensures both voice commands and clear audio playback.

The Insta360 Ace Pro also works as a network camera on your computer, for example in webinars. Compatibility is guaranteed with at least Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, QuickTime Player, Lifesize, Potplayer, Tencent Meeting and Feishu. The webcam mode has a resolution of 1080p and a refresh rate of 30 frames per second.
