The Valentine's Day stamps show happy friends doing all sorts of fun things together.The colourful stamps, designed by Minna Lehväslaihon, depict wheelbarrow rides, playing yard games, knitting, reading and cooking together. "Since Valentine's Day is a day of friendship in Finland, the stamps depict friendship, not romantic love. It's much nicer to do things with friends than alone. For example, cooking together can be quality time with friends or family," says Lehväslaiho.According to Lehväslaiho, designing the signs was a fun process that took about six months. "I made sketches of the signs in pencil and partly digitally. I got good help from the Post Office to reduce the illustrations so that they would work on the stamps," Lehväslaiho says.A sheet of 10 stamps with 5 different domestic stamps is more fun.Note.
