This surface moisture meter is suitable for measuring the moisture content of wood and other building materials with an accuracy of 0.50%. It has a built-in temperature sensor, which allows it to measure also the temperature of the object. The instrument has eight different calibration scales to allow the most accurate measurement of different types of wood. A stop function allows the measured value to be frozen on the display for easy note taking. The unit displayed on the meter can be changed between Celsius and Fahrenheit by pressing a button.




The instrument's spikes are protected by rubber plugs and are covered by a removable protective cover for storage. The backlit display with green light makes it easy to read even in the dark. The body of the device is shaped to fit the hand and has rubber gripping surfaces for a better grip on the device. The device automatically switches itself off when not in use, preventing the batteries from wearing out inadvertently. The device is powered by 2 x AAA batteries.
