Khadi plant-based hair dyes contain only dried plant parts as a fine powder. They give an intense coloring result.

The herbs for Khadi's vegetable hair dyes are obtained fairly from local farmers. The colors do not contain synthetic dyes, silicone, metal salts or additives - only the simple effectiveness of herbs. The color becomes intensely natural and the hair gets a wonderful shine.

The end result of plant hair dyes is always individual. It is influenced by e.g. the structure, color and medications and previous chemical treatments of your own hair, which can significantly change the final result of the dyeing. However, the end result is always nuanced and natural.

Conventional hair dye is absorbed into the hair structure and colors the hair from the inside out. Natural dyes only stick to the surface of the hair and wear through the hair more evenly than chemical permanent dye.

To get the desired result, we recommend doing a penetration test before dyeing, i.e. testing the color either on a hidden part or on a section of hair cut off.

With Khadi's plant dyes, you can also effectively dye grays. Please note, however, that the dyeing result is lighter on gray hair than on other hair: the more gray hair, the lighter the final result.

Vegetable dyes are only intended for hair dyeing, and must not be used to dye e.g. eyelashes or eyebrows. Do not use on broken or sore, rashed or irritated skin.

Do not add any other ingredients to Khadi vegetable hair dyes.

If your hair is grey, blonde or bleached, pre-dye your hair first with henna, amla & jathropa hair dye. Damaged or treated hair should be pre-treated with Khadi's colorless neutral henna or cassia.

With one package, you can dye medium-thick hair or long thin hair that reaches around the shoulders. For long and thick hair, we recommend booking two packages.

How to use : Wash your hair thoroughly before coloring with a silicone-free shampoo. Using a whisk, mix the hair dye with hot (50°C) water until the composition turns into a smooth paste. Apply to the hair evenly using a brush or comb, one section at a time. Leave on for 30-120 minutes. The length of the exposure time affects the darkness and intensity of the shade. Rinse with lukewarm water. Avoid washing with shampoo for the next 24-48 hours. Apply Khadi hair oil to your hair before the next shampoo wash, which helps the color pigments stick to the hair better.

Storage : Store at room temperature and protected from light.
