ProForest chainsaw's hard metal saw chains stay sharp much longer than ordinary saw chains. Carbide blade chains also better withstand e.g. sandy wood, roadside trees and tolerate more ground hits. The hard piece is separately soldered to the hardened blade body, the rivets are hardened and each chain is pre-stretched at the factory. The hard chain is sharpened with a diamond file or a diamond disc sold separately for the sharpening machine. The blade chain should be cleaned carefully before sharpening.
