The DJR187 is Makita's first jigsaw with a carbon brushless motor. The carbon brushless motor consumes little power and is also compact - about 30 percent smaller and lighter compared to a traditional carbon brush motor. As the name suggests, a carbon brushless motor does not have carbon to create friction and heat in the motor, so it is maintenance-free and significantly longer-lasting compared to a carbon brush motor.
Thanks to Makita's Li-ion batteries and low-power carbon brushless motor, the DJR187 allows you to work for a long time without constantly changing batteries. The machine has two stroke speeds 0-2300/0-3000 to choose from, and the correct sawing speed at any given time can be conveniently adjusted from the switch, for example when starting sawing. The high number of strokes and the stroke length of 32 mm provide power for demolition work and spark-free sawing. Changing the blade and adjusting the response is done without tools. The machine also has an LED light and a hanging hook.
