Monitoring and adding the blade chain oil level is effortless, because the tank is transparent from the side and the filler cap opens and closes without tools. Tightening and changing the blade chain can also be done without tools. The tightening mechanism is spring-loaded, so the chain is always at the correct tension when the flange is tightened in place. The DUC101 saw can be used with either hand, as the release lever for the drive switch is on both sides of the rear handle.
