Markku Mutanen, Lasse Lindqvist: Private Chef in a pressure cooker

Readme.fi publishes the cookbook Private Chef, a story about the colorful life of private chef Markku Mutanen in a pressure cooker. The book is written by author Lasse Lindqvist.

Private chef Markku Mutanen (b. 1961) has worked as a radio chef in Fuengirola, Spain, and he has also learned how to cook in the United States. In 2013, Mutanen was selected from several hundreds of applicants for the Hell's Kitchen Suomi television program hosted by Sauli Kemppainen.

Mutanen's story is a story about overcoming challenges and admirable entrepreneurial spirit. The story also has a social undertone, as the book challenges its readers to think about the importance of pressure tolerance and social interaction skills in hotel and restaurant industry work communities.

During his colorful life, Markku Mutanen has worked in several professions, but cooking has always been his passion. Lasse Lindqvist (b. 1986) is a writer and writing instructor from Jyväskylä. His first work, sports journalist Tapio Suominen's biography Urheiluhullu. The section closed from the stadiums (Otava, 2019) has been a review and sales success. Lindqvist's second book, the biography of hockey star Eric Perrin, Eric Perrin – The Lion of Laval (Otava, 2022), will be published in October.
