See ships moving around you
Helps to see and be seen at sea, which is a big help in today's congested ports and shipping lanes. AIS centrally monitors all vessels in sight and helps reduce the risk of collision by exchanging safety information between vessels.
As well as a variety of information about ships moving around
NAIS-500 utilizes the advanced automatic digital time-division-based transmission method, thanks to which the device is able to send and receive static data such as MMSI number (Maritime Mobile Service Identifier), ship name, callsign and ship type. In addition, it can send and receive dynamic data such as position, course and distance. Data exchange takes place between ships or between the ship and land stations. When connected to a compatible chart plotter, the device shows the position and movements of all vessels in range and transmitting AIS data.
Versatile connections
The NAIS-500 is a Class-B AIS system that includes multiple connectivity options (NMEA 0183®, NMEA 2000®, USB and NMEA 0183 multiplexing). In addition to versatile connections, the NSPL-500 antenna splitter is available, which, combined with the NAIS-500, enables the use of only one VHF antenna in connection with VHF, AIS and FM radio receivers. The solution reduces the number of antennas and thus installation problems and saves money.
