The moisture meter lets you quickly and conveniently see if the plants need to be watered. No batteries. Ideal for growing in pots, beds and "critical" places in the garden. Often the surface of the soil is dry due to moisture evaporation, but deeper in the pot the soil is moist. The meter is immersed in the pot to a depth of 3/4. The meter shows the soil moisture. The hygrometer must not be left on the ground!
