Primarily stainless steel hand pump with nitrile seals, suitable for pumping oil, glycol, and domestic water. Excellent for use in summer cottages as a water pump for saunas or oil tanks. This pump has a handle facing upwards, and the handle direction cannot be changed afterwards.

The pump is delivered in a cardboard box. This pump has 1-inch threaded flanges, but it is also available with 3/4-inch flanges (product 4713502).

The pump is not recommended for drinking water because it does not self-drain after use, leaving water standing inside the pump. Therefore, if the Nira 6B pump is used for pumping domestic water and the pump is stored in a location where freezing is possible, the pump must be emptied of water before freezing temperatures occur.

Installation:

When installing the pump, note that the length of the suction pipe affects the maximum suction height of the pump. When using a foot valve, the maximum suction height of the pump is 8 meters, and without a foot valve, it is 4 meters. The suction pipe typically used is P 1" (32 mm) pipe, with the foot valve installed at the end. A garden hose is not suitable for use as a suction pipe because it is too soft, and the suction force produced by the pump flattens the hose.

Nira 6B can withstand momentary pressure of approximately 3 bar. The pump should not be installed in a network where it is constantly under pressure. When connecting the pump to a fuel tank, ensure that the tank does not empty itself due to siphoning.
