NiSi Nano IR Neutral Density Filter ND1000 is a gray filter specially designed for landscape photographers. The filter is made of high-quality multi-coated optical glass on both sides, which prevents extra reflections. The filter also has a very durable U-type nano-coating that protects the surface from scratches, repels water and grease, and makes the surface easier to clean.
The gray filter does not affect the color scheme of the image and the ND1000 dimming reduces the light entering the lens by 10 aperture values. Built-in infrared filtering reduces the color error caused by infrared frequencies. The body of the filter is made of brass and it is only 3.5mm thick, which makes the filter an excellent choice even with super-wide-angle lenses.
A grayscale filter (ND) can be used to reduce the light entering the camera and use a larger aperture or a longer shutter speed than normal.
