NISI FILTER ND-VARIO 1-5 Stops True Color is a variable neutral density filter that reduces exposure by 1-5 EV.
The density, the ND factor, is infinitely adjusted by turning the filter.
The degree of density is easily adjusted by turning the front filter ring with or without the included silver lever, helping you determine in advance the length of additional exposure needed.
This filter has built-in stops when turned to end positions so you know "where you are" during operational use.
To make control of the density settings easier and repeatable, the front ring is visually marked with numbers describing different stop values. The tire has silver side clamps that guarantee a secure grip and easy installation and removal.
If you use this filter with film or video cameras, the combined adjustments of aperture and this filter allow fine adjustments of depth of field while maintaining the specified frame rate.
Very useful for both photography and videography as you can precisely adjust the amount of light entering the lens in each scene.
In this way, larger apertures and/or longer shutter speeds can be used than would otherwise be possible under current lighting conditions.
