Purpose of use

Nitor® Wood Protection is a Bra Miljöval eco-labeled, effective wood protection for porches, terraces, stairs, piers and similar wooden surfaces outdoors. Using the product reduces the need for maintenance and makes the wood surface a beautiful light gray, which is pleasant to walk on.

Nitor® Wood Protection is based on silicon technology, which mineralizes and strengthens wood fibers from the start. This creates a long-lasting wooden surface. Mineralization effectively protects against growth and makes the surface repel dirt. The treatment also gives the surface a certain kind of fire protection.

The wood surface acquires a light silver gray tone over time. Surfaces exposed to sunlight gray more than those left in the shade. Note that surfaces that are not exposed to sunlight will not turn gray. The product's protective properties remain unchanged regardless of whether the surface is exposed to sunlight or not.

Use

The Nitor® Wood Protection treatment should be applied when rainy weather is expected for a few days.
The best result is achieved when the surface is cleaned with Nitor® Wood Cleaner before treatment with Nitor® Wood Protection. Remove any possible wood oil before processing.

Apply Nitor® Wood Protection with a paint pad, brush or high-quality roller. We recommend a painting pad, which allows the application to go quickly and evenly. Let the surface dry. The drying time varies depending on the temperature and the absorbency of the wood surface.

After the first layer has dried, apply another layer of Nitor® Wood Protection. The treated surface is ready for use as soon as it dries. Coverage: Approx. 5-8m² / liter at the first application. With the second application, the coverage is approx. 30% higher.
