Permatex®Supra Copper Sealing silicone has been developed for applications where high temperatures do not allow the use of ordinary sealing silicone.
The surfaces must be clean and dry. Add a smooth and uniform 2-6 mm thick silicone strip to the other surface and surround all the bolt holes. Assemble the part immediately while the silicone is still wet. Tighten with your fingers until the substance starts to squeeze around the flange. Allow to dry for one hour and then re-tighten 1/4-1/2 turn. The silicone hardens completely in 24 hours. NOTE: Not recommended for use on cover gaskets or parts that come into contact with gasoline.
