The shape and dimensioning of the pressure equalization plate inside the housing creates as even a flow of incoming air as possible through the filter network, so that the flow rates do not differ substantially from each other at any point of the filter network. Consequently, a high flow rate does not occur in the filter network in the central area of the network, which would then spread towards the edges and clog the network.
