With the robota field bandsaw, logs with a diameter of 55-60cm and a length of approx. 3.2m can be sawed using a standard sawing table. If you want to saw longer logs on the sawing table, a separate extension is available, which allows the length of the logs to increase to more than 5.2m. All types of wood can be sawn at the sawmill. Logs are attached to the saw table using log clamps and side supports. The height of the sawing head, which also determines the thickness of the wood to be sawn, is precisely adjusted with a separate crank. The crank must be locked, which guarantees that the height cannot change during sawing. The sawing itself is performed by moving the saw head, i.e. the paddle, steadily forward, so that the blade hits the log and starts sawing. When the sawing is finished, the sawing head is returned by pulling back and lowered to the next sawing point.

In the upper part of the sawing plant, there is a water tank from which water is fed directly to the blade for lubrication. By adding water, a better sawing function is achieved and the blade stays clean thanks to the water. Behind the blade is a separate control arm that supports the blade during sawing. This achieves a precise and straight cut. Adjusting the tension of the blade is simple and the blade stays tightened in the right way the whole time you are sawing. There is very little waste with the robotic field band saw.

The field band saw can be used for sawing a normal board, plank, etc. In addition to this, the saw is an excellent choice for e.g. D log manufacturers where one side of the wood is cut smooth. The sawmill is convenient for making long timbers, large special planks, table timbers, boat timbers, bare timber and many other products.
