Sandvik 12C27 is a martensitic stainless chrome steel whose properties are optimized for high-quality knives intended for professional use. This places very high demands on edge sharpness, edge stability and corrosion resistance. The 12C27 stainless chrome steel of every RUIKE knife has been further refined by hardening and cryotechnology (treatment of steel at a very low temperature, the so-called cryo-zone), which achieves an ideal blade hardness between 57-59 HRC.
