Giraffe bulls are the largest land animals and can reach up to six meters in height. Their necks can be 2.5 meters long and they can weigh up to 250 kilograms. However, they have - like us humans - only seven cervical vertebrae.
The giraffe bulls are so big that they can stick their heads in through the window of the second floor of the building and say "hello". Their tongue can be up to 50 cm long, it is numb with spiky leaves and its color is unusual: it is dark blue. The color helps protect against sunburn when Giraffes wrap their tongues around the leaves and cut them off. Even animals as big as Giraffes need sleep between meals. When there is no danger, they lie down to take a nap, but in the wilderness they usually sleep standing up.
