Schleich® WILD LIFE's alpaca family comes from the Andes of South America, where the animals are raised above all for their soft, warm wool. They belong to the humpless camels and are very calm by nature. The chicks have different coats: one is white and the other is brown. Their mother nurses them for about 6-8 months before they start eating grass themselves.
