Delivery methods

Karkkainen.com is a marketplace platform on which, several independent Marketplace merchants are operating on, in addition to Kärkkäinen. Marketplace merchants are independently responsible for product storage, order processing, delivery methods and terms, as well as complaints and customer service related to marketplace orders and products. You recognize the marketplace product by the text "Marketplace product" on the product page.

Marketplace traders define their own delivery methods and costs and choose the transport company to use. If you order products from different Marketplace merchants, you will receive a separate shipment from each one, and shipping costs will be charged per merchant.

For marketplace products, you can choose Delivery to Pick-up points or Home delivery, if the merchant offers both. The delivery time varies by product and retailer. The product page shows the "from" price of the product's shipping cost and the estimated shipping date. The order can be delivered in several different shipments.

Please note that Kärkkäinen is not responsible for the delivery of Marketplace products, delivery delays or damages. Delivery is the responsibility of the Marketplace merchant offering the product, so communications regarding delivery must be directed to that merchant.

Pick-up from Store

Collection fee 1,90 €

Delivery time 1-2 business days

You can order products available in the store for easy pickup at the store's pick-up point.

You will receive a notification by text message and email when the order has been processed and can be picked up from the store. The announcement states whether the order can be picked up at the information desk, the product-specific department (licensed products, e.g. cartridges from the batch department) or the store's pick-up warehouse. The package is stored at the pick-up point for 7 days.

In Oulu and Ii, pick-up orders are delivered to the info point for collection. In Ylivieska, Lahti and Jyväskylä, small packages are delivered to be picked up at the information desk, and larger packages are delivered from the store's pick-up warehouse, which can be accessed from outside.

In Ylivieska, the pick-up warehouse is behind the property, in the corner of the 3rd loading dock there is a sign "Noutopiste". In Lahti, the pick-up warehouse is located in the backyard of the property, in the middle of the building there is a door with the sign "Noutovarasto" in the corner. In Jyväskylä, access to the pick-up warehouse takes place from Sammontie via Saarijärventie to the back of the property where Kärkkäinen's warehouse is.

In the Oulu and Ii stores, pick-up orders are not processed on weekends, so please note that in this case the order will arrive for pick-up on the next business day.

Posti

Small Parcel To Door

Price depending on the size of the package 3,90 € or 5,90 €, estimated delivery time 2-5 working days

Maximum package size 30 x 20 x 20 cm, weight 4 kg.

A small parcel for the door is delivered to the recipient's door, either in a letterbox or left behind the front door, depending on the size of the parcel. Parcels left behind the door will be photographed and, if necessary, protected from the weather by the Posti. You will be notified when the parcel has been distributed.

Easy delivery for the cheapest online shopping. Please note that as the recipient, you are responsible for the package after it has been delivered by Posti to your letterbox or behind your front door.

If the parcel exceeds the maximum dimensions, it will be delivered to a pick-up point for collection. This delivery method is not available for Åland.

Postipaketti, nouto Postista tai pakettiautomaatista

Price from €4.90, estimated delivery time 2-4 business days.

Delivered to the Post or parcel machine of your choice.

The arrival notification is delivered as a text message.

The shipment can be picked up from the Posti with a shipment ID and with your personal ID. From the parcel machine only with a compartment code.

If the shipment does not fit in the parcel machine of your choice or the parcel machine is full, it will be delivered to the Post or parcel machine closest to the machine of your choice.

The package is stored at Posti for 7 days, after which it is returned to the sender.

The maximum weight of the package is 25 kg.

Home parcel, delivery to final destination

Price from €9.90, estimated delivery time 2-4 business days

Posti agrees the delivery time with the recipient by phone.

If the recipient cannot be reached by phone, a contact request will be left for him.

Shipments are delivered in the largest cities on weekdays until 21:00. In other areas, delivery takes place by 2 p.m.

Packages are delivered to the recipient's address inside, in the immediate vicinity of the front door..

If the recipient cannot be reached, the package will be delivered to the nearest Post Office for pickup.

The package is stored at Posti for 7 days, after which it is returned to the sender.

The maximum weight of the package is 35 kg.

Business parcel

Price from €9.90, estimated delivery time 2-4 business days

The delivery method is mainly intended for business customers.

Delivery time 2-4 business days. Shipments are delivered on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m..

The service does not include calling before delivery.

If the recipient is not there at the time of delivery, the package will be delivered to be picked up at the nearest Post Office.

The package is stored at Posti for 7 days, after which it is returned to the sender.

The maximum weight of the package is 35 kg.

PickUp Parcel to Sweden

Price from €4.90, estimated delivery time 2-5 business days

Delivered to the pick-up point or vending machine of your choice, the vending machines are mainly located outside.

The arrival notification is delivered electronically.

The package is stored at Posti for 7 days, after which it is returned to the sender.

The maximum package size is 100x60x60 cm and the maximum weight is 20 kg.

Matkahuolto

Lähellä-paketti

Price from €4.90, estimated delivery time 2-4 business days

Delivered to a Matkahuolto pick-up point such as a parcel machine, Matkahuolto, K-food stores or R-kiosk.

The arrival notification is delivered electronically..

The package can be picked up with an arrival notification.

The package is stored at Posti for 7 days, after which it is returned to the sender.

If the shipment does not fit in the parcel machine or the parcel machine is full, it will be delivered to the pick-up point closest to the machine.

The maximum weight of the package is 30 kg.

For Lähellä-packages you can also choose an outdoor vending machine as the pick-up point(limited locations). Outdoor vending machines are exposed to temperature fluctuations, especially in winter. Please keep in mind the storage temperatures of the products you ordered when choosing a pick-up point. To pick up from an outdoor vending machine, you must have the Matkahuolto Paketit application downloaded and a working Bluetooth connection.

Kotijakelu and Jakopaketti

Home delivery is usually distributed on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The delivery time is agreed with the recipient via text message with advance notice. Evening and weekend deliveries are also possible in the largest cities.

The distribution package is delivered to the stated delivery address on weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm without prior notice. Please note that the delivery time cannot be agreed separately.

If the recipient cannot be reached, the packages are delivered to the nearest Matkahuolto or Mh agent for collection.

The package is stored at Posti for 7 days, after which it is returned to the sender.

The maximum weight of the package is 35kg.

VAK shipments, i.e. dangerous substances (such as cartridges) are delivered only by these delivery methods. VAK shipping price from €15.90

Posti's domestic freight

Large-sized products are always delivered to the home yard. These include e.g. trampolines, large household appliances or other products with a weight of more than 35 kg or a length of more than 3 m. In addition, very easily breakable large products and some dangerous substances are delivered as cargo.

Please note that a domestic freight shipment does not include the loading or layering of the shipment. The delivery address must be reached by truck.

The delivery time is arranged by text message or by calling. As a rule, the delivery time is on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It is the recipient's responsibility to check the condition of the incoming shipment together with the driver before acknowledging the waybill. Any deviation of the shipment (e.g. transport damage) must be recorded in the consignment note together with the driver.

Returning freight shipments will be charged.

Budbee

Budbee Home

Price to Finland from €6.90, delivery time is estimated to be 2-4 business days

Price to Sweden from €5.90, delivery time is estimated to be 3-8 business days

Budbee Home is a 100% fossil-free and environmentally friendly, easy and accurate home delivery service that is distributed in the largest cities.

The order is delivered directly to your door, shipments are distributed on weekday evenings only between 16:00 and 22:30.

When the order has been processed and the package has been sent from our warehouse, you will receive a tracking link via text message. Through the link, you can follow the progress of the package in real time closer to the delivery time. You can also customize your delivery and fill in additional information related to the delivery (e.g. door code, ring the doorbell or knock on the door). You will receive a reminder message approximately 7 minutes before the delivery arrives.

You can also choose to have Budbee deliver your package outside your home, in which case you will receive a photo of the delivered package from the driver. In such a case, the order is marked as delivered, and the package is then the responsibility of the recipient.

Budbee Home shipment maximum size 40x40x120cm, maximum weight 20kg.

Budbee Box

Price to Finland from €4.90, delivery time is estimated to be 2-4 business days

Price to Sweden from €5.70, delivery time is estimated to be 3-8 business days

The order will be delivered to the Budbee Box parcel machine of your choice. Parcel machines are available in limited locations.

When the order has been processed at our warehouse, you will receive a link for tracking via text message. Through the link, you can follow the progress of the package in real time closer to the delivery time. You will receive a notification from Budbee when the order is available for pickup, as well as a code to open the storage container.

The parcel can be picked up from the locker within 3 working days, you can change the storage period to a longer period from your tracking link or from the Budbee app. If the parcel is not picked up within 3 days and you have not changed the storage period for your parcel, the parcel will be delivered to the Budbee distribution centre to wait for a new delivery to be booked. If you do not book a new delivery via the Budbee tracking link or app within 10 days, the parcel will be returned to the sender.

Budbee Box maximum size 25x50x35cm, maximum weight 20kg.

If the package is too big for the parcel machine, or the Budbee Box you selected is full, the delivery time will be changed or the package will be delivered directly to your home if your home address is within the Budbee Home delivery area.

If the shipment of the order is not picked up within the storage period of the delivery method, the shipment will be returned to the sender undelivered.
