continuously, requiring maintenance charging every 12 weeks (or when the battery voltage drops below 12.4 volts) until the battery is put into service.
If this is not done, the life of the battery will be shortened and the battery may become unusable.
(3) Since the battery is ready for use, care must be taken that the plus and minus terminals are not short-circuited.
