Candles made from pure stearin are hard and have a high melting point. Stearin candles burn slowly, evenly and cleanly, and they also have minimal leakage. Typically used to make thin and tall candles. Naturally, the color of stearin is pure white, but it can also be colored with candle colors.
When making thicker candles, it is recommended to use a mixture of stearin and paraffin. The right mixture ratio depends on preferences as well as the thickness of the candle, and is often best found by experimenting. The amount of stearin, depending on the candle, is often around 30-50%.
