Two-handed operation

The padded back handle ensures a stable and comfortable grip without slipping. A safety switch on the side of the handle prevents accidental rotation of the saw chain.
Metal core support
A strong, metal bar support prevents the saw from sliding and thus gives a more precise and straighter cutting path.
QuickStop Super chain brake
The additional braking system increases safety - only from STIHL. The blade chain not only stops in a fraction of a second when the kickback protection is activated, but it also stops when the grip on the rear handle is released. The cutting chain that stops very quickly increases the user's safety.
Tilt direction indicator
For safe and easy control of the felling direction, there is an embossed line integrated into the fan housing of the chainsaw.
STIHL Ematic chain lubrication system
Compared to a standard saw blade without the Ematic system, the STIHL Ematic system saves chain oil by up to 50%, depending on the type of wood and the saw chain. The system is compatible with STIHL Ematic or Ematic S blade plate, STIHL Oilomatic blade chain and oil pump. As a result, the chain oil flowing into the groove of the blade plate sticks to the rotating chain without loss.
