Sand filter system for swimming pools of up to 22,500 liters, including a pre-filter, 7-way cover valve, pressure gauge and filter base, as well as the possibility of installing UV lights.
To keep the pool water fresh, it must be constantly recycled and cleaned. This compact filtration system is perfect and suitable for swimming pools and garden pools with a maximum capacity of 22,500 litres.
The filter system consists of a filter tank made of weather-resistant material and a strong self-priming pump, which are assembled on the supplied mounting platform. The pump is equipped with a pre-filter, which is a very practical device when backwashing (cleaning the filter material) is done. The clear instructions of the top valve make it easy to handle and the operating pressure in the tank can be quickly read from the integrated pressure gauge.
Accessories: UV light and vacuum cleaner It is possible to install a UV light, so algae and spores can be removed from the water without chemicals. A UV light system with an 18W tank (product 1604) is used for this.
The filter system's pump also enables vacuuming the bottom of the pool with a bottom vacuum that is on a telescopic rod (products 1513 and 1515). The bottom vacuum is connected to the surface well via the system, either with a suction hose (item 1525) or two pool hoses (item 1542).
Filter material Either Filterballs or sand can be used as filter material.
Filterballs (product 1069): In addition to high filtration capacity (up to 10 microns), Filterballs are water-saving because backwashing does not have to be carried out continuously. Instead, you can wash the Filterballs in the washing machine (without soap) or by hand when the season is over. Compared to other filter materials, Filterballs' water resistance is minimal, which increases water flow. This means that the filter system can move the entire pool water faster, which in turn uses less energy. Another big advantage is the lightness of Filterballs. This is good news for your back when emptying the filter tank. 100 g of Filterballs corresponds to a total of 3.57 kg of sand. Filter sand (product 1760): Sand is historically the most common filter material. And for good reason. The natural material picks up particles of up to 40 microns. On the other hand, sand, and especially wet sand, is super heavy. Therefore, it is recommended that the filter system is in place before the sand is filled into the tank. Sand also requires backwashing to be done continuously and at least 2-4 times a month to clean the sand. This means that more water is used when sand is chosen as the filter material. A 30-40,000-liter pool uses 180-240 liters of water for backwashing.
Powerful pump and large filter tank The system comes with an efficient pump, the capacity of which is proportional to the size of the filter tank and the volume of the pool, according to the information below. The pump is powerful enough to fully circulate the pool water 5 times a day through the filter material. In general, the pump capacity must be at least the pool's water volume divided by five. The pump is also suitable for seawater.
Installation and hose connection The system can be installed directly in all pools with a standard pump connection, and is adapted to standard hoses Ø32/38 mm. Filter sand and pool hoses are not included.
