With Swim & Fun's SolarBoard heater, you can quickly heat the water in the garden pool to a pleasant temperature. SolarBoard increases the water temperature by up to 5 °C, depending on how long and strongly the sun shines. The solar heater is especially suitable for small garden pools equipped with a filtration system, and can be used alone or several connected together.
SolarBoard's support legs offer an optimal angle of 30 degrees to capture as much of the sunlight as possible.
The sun's rays heat the cold water in the pipes inside the heater, after which the water returns to the pool. The heating depends on the number of sunny hours and the intensity of the sunshine, as well as the circulation speed of the water.
We recommend the use of the by-pass kit (1572) and a summer blanket equipped with a heat function to prevent heat loss as much as possible. The By-pass kit allows you to direct the water past the solar heater at night and on cloudy days when the sun is barely visible. If warm water passes through the solar heater at night, it cools down quickly and the next day the heating has to be started all over again.
The surface of the water should also be protected with a thermal blanket to reduce heat loss. And the more wind protection you can give your garden pool, the better. The wind also cools the water.
The by-pass kit should also be used when several SolarBoard solar heaters are used.
