Tex is still chasing Lucero, an Indian chief who hides under the protection of the character of Don Fabio Esqueda, a wealthy landowner, who wants to return to his people the lands taken from the Apaches. Tex and his friends set a trap, and soon Lucero's entire organization collapses along with his dream. Tex never gets to face Lucero - he's already dead when Tex arrives.
