In the event of a power outage in the network (or from another source, such as the battery / wind turbine system), the ATS senses the voltage drop and sends a signal to the generator, which starts generating power to the electrical system within five seconds. During a power outage, the ATS monitors the mains current until it is satisfied that the mains voltage has returned to an acceptable level. After the electricity is restored to the grid, the ATS transfers the electrical load back to the grid and turns off the generator (standby mode).
In normal standby mode, 12V power comes from the power grid through the ATS to the generator's starting battery to ensure that it is fully charged.
The ATS connected to Timco's electrical network is simple, cost-effective and takes only a few hours to install. ATS is usually attached to the wall. An authorized electrician is required for installation.
