Distagon-type wide-angle lens with 10 lens elements in 8 groups. Four of the elements have aspheric lenses on both sides and five of the lens elements are made of special glass. The angle of view of the lens is 82 degrees and the closest focusing distance is only 0.2 meters. Thanks to them, the lens is perfect for architecture and landscape photography. The control of depth of field enabled by the large aperture gives a new dimension to many subjects.
Structure
Despite the fast and very accurate autofocus, the lens also has a high-quality manual focus, so it is easy for the photographer to choose the focusing method that best suits the subject. The stylish modern design is familiar from the lenses of the Otus series. On top of the lens is an OLED display that shows the distance to the subject (from the plane of focus) and the depth of field at the selected aperture. The lens is also weatherproof.
